The Lakewood Historical Society will host a Betsey Nicholson Victorian Tea Party for families on Saturday, February 28, at the historic Nicholson House, located at 15553 Detroit Avenue.

This signature event offers families an immersive experience into Victorian-era traditions within one of Lakewood’s most significant historic homes. Participants will learn about the Nicholson family’s lasting legacy while enjoying a traditional Victorian tea service.

Activities include a children’s decorate-your-own dessert station, hands-on exploration of Victorian-era toys and parlor games, and the creation of a Victorian nature journal for participants to take home.

Tickets are $25 per person and include a traditional tea meal and a curated selection of teas from Lakewood’s own The Tea Lab, served by H2O, Help to Others volunteers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Two seatings will be offered from 1:00–2:30 p.m. and 3:00–4:30 p.m. Advance ticket purchase is required and will remain open until capacity is reached or through Thursday, February 26.
