All tickets purchased online from this point MUST be picked up in person at the Nicholson House on Sunday during the House Tour starting at 12:30. In-person tickets will also be available for purchase at the Nicholson House during the Tour. Please note, if you purchase on the day of the tour, the ticket price will be $35.

How do I buy tickets?

Is there a physical ticket?
Yes. Each person on the Tour must have their paper ticket with them to gain entry into each stop.
If I buy my tickets online, how will I receive them?
Tickets will be mailed to you. If you purchase after September 2, you will need to pick up your ticket(s) at the Nicholson House the day of the Tour.
Are there Tour admittance restrictions?
Children under 12 will not be admitted. We also recommend that attendees be fully mobile and able to walk and climb stairs without assistance. Most homes feature 2-3 levels each and you occasionally will have to wait in line to gain entry.
What should I leave at home?
Any food or drink and high heeled shoes.
Anything else I should know?
All attendees will be asked to wear protective foot booties as they enter the home and remove at the exit.
Where should I park on the day of the Tour?
As with all things in Lakewood, parking will be at a premium. You are encouraged to walk and/or ride your bike. Please follow all parking signs as posted.
Suggested parking locations and notes:
- 12601 Lake Ave – Parking available at Cove Community Center.
- 1046 Nicholson Ave – There is construction at Edgewater and Nicholson. You must enter Nicholson southbound by going down Wilbert Rd to Cliff Dr.
- 13216 Detroit Ave (Rectory & Church Sanctuary) – Several parking lots surround the church.
- 13315 Detroit Ave (Nicholson House) – Parking available in St. Edward’s parking lot across the street.
- 1462 Belle Ave – Parking is available in the lot across the street. Do not park in the CCF Family Health Center parking lot north of the house.
How can I get more information on the homes of the Tour?
A digital program with tons of facts, historical information, and things to look for in each home will be made available here a few days before the tour. This page can also be accessed by scanning the QR code on your ticket.
Where does the money from ticket sales go?
Proceeds from the Tour benefit programs of The Lakewood Historical Society and the operation of the Oldest Stone House Museum and the Nicholson House. This is the Society’s largest fundraiser.
