Faerber-Morse House
Open House

13405 Lake Avenue

Sunday, September 30, 2007
Noon - 6 pm

Tour this landmark 1914 Beaux-Arts Mansion at the corner of Nicholson and Lake.

Renowned architect Gustave B. Bohm designed this neo-classical home for banker George Faerber. Shortly after completion, the home was sold to Agnes Morse, an executive at the Parish and Bingham steel stamping company. Mrs. Morse lived lavishly, investing over $100,000 in improvements to the house. The house was featured as the American Cancer Society's Hope House in 1979 and was front page news in 2005 because of the threat of its auction and subsequent sheriff's sale.
