The Lakewood Historical Society provides a wide variety of services to the community, including:

• Maintaining a photo-file collection of over 8,000 images
• Ohio Heritage summer program for children
• In-school talks, special displays and "traveling trunks" for use in classrooms
• Information to any citizen who makes a request, i.e., house histories, historical information on settlers, buildings, streets, etc.
• Special tours to groups
• Slide show presentation

YOUR MEMBERSHIP:

• Promotes the study of regional cultural heritage especially as it pertains to Lakewood and Rockport Township.
• Promotes historical preservation in Lakewood, including the upkeep and continued restoration of the Nicholson House and maintenance of the Oldest Sone House Museum.
• Enables the Society to continue its programming within the Lakewood community.

• Attend quarterly meetings; hear knowledgeable speakers; receive informative newsletters; participate in special historical programs; special events.
